Suntex Marinas is pleased to announce its acquisition of Glade Marina on December 31st, 2012. We are a Dallas-based real estate firm with a focus on owning and operating premier waterfront locations. Our partners have owned and operated 30 marina properties and are very excited about including Glade Marina into the current Suntex portfolio of 15 marinas in New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Iowa, and the Caribbean.
Suntex Marinas, headed by President, Chris Petty, will be working with Glade Marina’s General Manager, Steve Adams, to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Our dedication to you as our customer and to our properties is of the upmost importance. At Suntex, we understand the importance of maintaining your investment as well as ours and plan on making several improvements throughout the property in order to enhance your boating experience.

Letter from Your General Manager
Dear Boaters and Friends,
I have had the privilege of being your manager at Glade Marina for almost 4 years. I have been able to meet most of you and have grown to know some of you very well. Over these past few years, there have been many things that I have wished Glade could develop, or initiate; well, now it seems we will have the ability to make some of those things happen. I am so proud to announce the acquisition of Glade Marina by Suntex Marinas. With the change in ownership, Glade will see more amenities, better docks, better services for you, our customers, and many more new and positive changes to make your boating experience the best it can be.
We have some big plans for 2013 including 58 covered slips ranging in sizes from 28′-50′. Each 50′ slip will include dual 50 amp electrical service, a 120 square foot covered patio, and a new integrated and more effective wave attenuator. Complimentary WiFi internet access and expanded launch services are other amenities Glade customers can expect to see in the near future. If anyone is interested in reserving one of these new slips please let me know.All current Glade personnel you have come to know will remain the same, andeveryone here, customers and staff alike, can look forward to beneficial changes andimprovements in the coming seasons. I hope that once you see some of these improvements, you too will be as excited as we are about the new parent company. Atlanta Boat Show
Our Glade Marina team is very excited for the upcoming Atlanta Boat Show!

In addition to the variety of watercraft and products, Georgia’s premier boating event includes several attractions for all ages. Attendees who are new to boating can visit the Welcome to the Water Center to get advice from experts about choosing a boat and boating on a budget. Boat owners looking to repair and maintain their vessels can visit Fred’s Shed DIY Seminars & Interactive Learning Center for hands-on instruction. The Powerboat Docking Challenge will allow captains – novice and experienced – to test their navigational skills as they steer and dock radio-controlled boats in the show’s 20-foot “lake.”
Whether looking for a boat or new adventures in the New Year, the 2013 Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show has the deals and family fun to fulfill the wishes of any boater.
