Crosswater Yacht Club Construction Update:

Everyone has been asking when the marina will be open, and up until now, I have not had a good answer, just good estimates. Well, we are getting close enough to answer the questions now! The parts are coming together like a puzzle and the final pieces should be in place by months end.

All the trades are aware of the deadline and are working at a feverish pace to get the job done. The remaining two docks that are still at the low water location are H and F docks. We left them there because we knew it would take a couple of weeks to power up G and E docks at the new location. We expect the power to start coming on board, one dock at a time, starting next week.

 

I would like to thank everyone for their patience during this major project that has taken many twists and turns. The good news is that since it took so long in the development stages, we were able to identify better ways to design and build the new marina. The end project will be one of the nicest marinas Lake Travis has ever seen and one that will stand the test of the challenging water levels in the future!

CYC Grand Opening Celebration

Suntex Marinas of Dallas is proud to announce the grand opening event is scheduled to celebrate the completion of Crosswater Yacht Club, the newest marina built on Lake Travis. Mark your calendars now for May 19th, from Noon to 7:00pm for a full day of family fun.

The marina staff will be on hand to show everyone around the new facility. All of the Austin area boat dealers including Austin Boats and Motors, Boat Town, Central Texas Watersports, Sail and Ski Center, Ski Dock and South Austin Marine will be on hand with new boats to show in the water. The Trashed and Burned BBQ team sponsored by Rekon Services will be cooking some delicious food for everyone. Local band LC Rocks is scheduled to play live music from 4pm- 7pm on a floating stage in the marina. Kids will enjoy a bounce house, trackless train, Games2u gaming trailer and face painting from noon to four. Watersport demos will take place throughout the day including stand up paddle boarding and kayak demos, an amazing demo from Aquafly- a new flyboard company here on Lake Travis. Airscape Parasail will also be on hand to take fliers up, up and away.

A Charity raffle benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation will be held with

 prizes ranging from a free Parasail ride worth $75 to a free annual slip at Crosswater Yacht Club worth up to $6550.

HHM/CYC Service Corner

A big congratulations to Scott Voges, our Service Manager at HHM, he has been promoted by Suntex Marinas to the Dallas Fort Worth Market Service Manager and will be moving up to the Dallas area.

Scott has been with HHM since early 2009 and has been instrumental in the success of the service department and marina as a whole through some very tough conditions. Scott will remain with HHM service through April 20. Everyone at HHM wishes the very best to Scott in his new position!! We know we will see him from time to time with all his connections in the Austin area.
